Lip Pretreatment: Exfoliating Micro Polish
Lip Pretreatment: Exfoliating Micro Polish
Pre-treat dry, chapped lips with a gentle scrub! This exfoliating micro polish buffs away dead skin, leaving lips soft and moisturized.
Why exfoliate prior to a lip treatment? Removing tough skin can aid in pigment application, saving time and increasing retention. Exfoliation also helps topical anesthetics become more effective.
How to Use: Apply a pearl-sized amount to a cotton swab or other applicator (some artists use a gloved finger and then change gloves afterwards) and rub into the lip tissue using small circular motions. Reapply the scrub as needed until the desired softness is achieved. When finished, wipe completely clean with a warm, damp nonwoven gauze or cotton, and then proceed with antiseptic and topical BlockAid to numb the area.
