How the Training Works
Our program works in 2 phases.
The first phase is a guided, weeks-long hybrid online experience that includes:
- Weekly live Zoom sessions (2-3 hours)
- Drip-released online cirriculum
- Homework & hands-on practice assignments
- Weekly quizzes + Final exam
- Lifetime Access
- Certificate of Completion
Once you complete and pass the first phase of the Academy, you can move onto the second phase which includes:
- Finding a certified Mentor to supervise your practical training
- Completing 5 related procedures (if only Brow Academy, then 5 brow procedures; if Brow, Eye, and Lip Academies, then 5 brow, 5 eyeliner, and 5 lip procedures - 15 total)
- Obtaining your full SofTap Certification

After enrollment, you’ll receive a welcome email and access to a small prep module until Week 1 begins; your kit will arrive in the mail before our first meeting.
Eyebrow Academy
Duration: 8 Weeks (Online)
Comprehensive training focused on eyebrow design, color selection, skin considerations, and SofTap application techniques.
Includes:
- Weekly structured modules
- Live Zoom check-ins and workshops
- Practice assignments and evaluations
- Final exam
Eyeliner Academy
Duration: 4 Weeks (Online)
Focused training on lash enhancement and classic eyeliner techniques with emphasis on safety, precision, and tattooing technique.
Includes:
- Progressive online lessons
- Live instruction and demonstrations
- Practice assignments
- Final exam
Lip Academy
Duration: 4 Weeks (Online)
In-depth training on lip color, neutralization, shape correction, and SofTap lip techniques.
Includes:
- Structured weekly modules
- Live Zoom workshops
- Practice and feedback
- Final exam

What makes the SofTap Academy different from other PMU training programs?
SofTap training focuses on fundamentals, not shortcuts.
We teach artists how skin responds to pressure, depth, and pigment so results are predictable, gentle, and long-lasting (on any face, not just instagram goddesses). Our program combines structured education with mentored hands-on training to build real skill, not just certification.
Do I need experience to enroll in the SofTap Academy?
No. The Academy is designed for beginners and cross-over artists.
Do I have to complete all three academies?
No. You may enroll in brow, eyeliner, or lip training individually, or complete multiple tracks based on your goals.
Is hands-on training required for certification?
For brand new artists, yes. Completion of the supervised apprenticeship is required for full certification.
Are SofTap pigments compatible with machine PMU?
Yes. SofTap pigments may be used with both machine and hand methods.
